CONTENT HOUSE KENYA HOSTS 3RD ANNUAL ARTISTS WORKSHOP IN TURKANA, EMPOWERING 40 CREATIVES FROM NORTHERN KENYA

Content House Kenya is once again investing in the growth of Kenya’s creative industry through its 3rd Annual Lake Turkana Region Artists Workshop, a five-day training program bringing together talented creatives from Turkana, Marsabit, and Samburu counties.

The workshop, currently taking place in Loropio, Turkana County, has attracted 40 artists representing diverse creative disciplines, including music, film, poetry, visual arts, drawing, and other forms of artistic expression.

The annual initiative is designed to equip artists with practical knowledge and professional skills that will help them build sustainable careers in the creative economy. Participants are engaging in interactive sessions covering key aspects of the industry, from talent development and media engagement to financial management and career growth.

To ensure participants receive well-rounded training, Content House Kenya has assembled facilitators from various professional backgrounds. The trainers include experts in media, music, finance, and other creative and business sectors, providing artists with valuable insights into both the artistic and commercial sides of the industry.

The workshop also offers participants an opportunity to network, collaborate, and exchange ideas with fellow creatives from across Northern Kenya, strengthening regional partnerships within the creative sector.

Now in its third edition, the annual workshop continues to play a significant role in nurturing artistic talent in the Lake Turkana region. By providing mentorship, professional development, and industry exposure, the program is helping bridge the gap between talent and opportunity.

The participation of artists from Turkana, Marsabit, and Samburu counties highlights the growing demand for capacity-building initiatives that empower creatives to compete on both national and international platforms.

With 40 artists benefiting from this year’s workshop, Content House Kenya continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing the creative economy and supporting emerging talent across Kenya.
