MWANZA TO HOST THE FIRST REGIONAL EDITION OF 30 YEARS OF BONGO FLAVA

Following the massive success of the 30 Years of Bongo Flava concert in Dar es Salaam, organizers have officially launched the regional tour, bringing Tanzania’s biggest music celebration to fans across the country.

The first stop will be Mwanza, where the highly anticipated concert is scheduled for August 8, 2026, at the famous Rock City Mall. The event is expected to attract thousands of music lovers eager to celebrate three decades of Bongo Flava with legendary artists.

The Dar es Salaam edition was a huge success, drawing thousands of fans who turned up to celebrate the evolution of Bongo Flava music. The unforgettable performances and nostalgic moments created overwhelming demand from fans in other regions, prompting organizers to take the celebration across Tanzania.

The regional tour is being spearheaded by Madee Seneda, hip-hop legend Fid Q, and Diamond Platnumz’s manager, Babu Tale, who have promised even bigger experiences for fans outside the commercial capital.

Before officially announcing Mwanza as the next destination, Madee Seneda kept fans guessing with a cryptic social media post. The veteran musician shared a photo of himself holding a fish with the caption:

> “Simple Code, read the background.”

Many fans initially focused on the Kilimanjaro name written on the boat in the background, famously associated with Africa’s tallest mountain. However, the real clue was the fish, a symbol closely linked to Mwanza, a lakeside city renowned for its thriving fishing industry on the shores of Lake Victoria.

The clever teaser quickly sparked speculation before organizers confirmed Mwanza as the first host city of the regional tour.

With excitement already building, fans are now eagerly waiting for organizers to unveil the full lineup of legendary musicians set to perform at the Mwanza edition.

The 30 Years of Bongo Flava celebration is expected to feature some of the biggest names who have shaped the genre over the last three decades, delivering a night of unforgettable performances and musical nostalgia.

Music lovers across Tanzania are already counting down to what promises to be another memorable chapter in the country’s biggest celebration of Bongo Flava history.
