PREZZO SET TO HEADLINE 30 YEARS OF BONGO FLAVA SHOW IN MWANZA THIS SATURDAY

Kenyan music legend Jackson Makini, popularly known as Prezzo, is set to headline the highly anticipated 30 Years of Bongo Flava show in Mwanza, Tanzania, this Saturday.

The Kenyan hip-hop heavyweight confirmed his participation through his social media pages, assuring fans that he is ready to make his way to Mwanza, famously known as the “Rock City,” for what promises to be another memorable celebration of East African music.

Prezzo joins a star-studded lineup of Tanzanian music legends who will take the stage as the 30 Years of Bongo Flava celebrations continue across different regions of Tanzania.

Among the artists expected to perform are Lady Jaydee, Dudu Baya, Mr Blue, AY, Dully Sykes, Tundaman, Feruuz, Domo Kaya, TMK, Jaffarai, Madee, Fid Q, Daz Baba, 20 percent and several other celebrated names from Tanzania’s music industry.

Prezzo’s appearance comes a few weeks after fellow Kenyan musicians Jua Cali and Nyota Ndogo represented Kenya during the Dar es Salaam edition of the 30 Years of Bongo Flava show.

The Dar es Salaam event attracted a massive crowd as legendary musicians came together to celebrate three decades of a music genre that has had a major influence on Tanzania and the wider East African entertainment scene.

The inclusion of Prezzo in the Mwanza edition further highlights the growing connection between Kenyan and Tanzanian music, with established artists from both countries sharing the stage to celebrate East Africa’s rich musical history.

Mwanza, one of Tanzania’s major cities located on the shores of Lake Victoria, is now preparing to host the next chapter of the celebrations.

The event has generated excitement among music lovers who are eager to watch some of the biggest names from the golden era of Bongo Flava perform their classic hits on one stage.
