Kenyan artists Bensoul, Charisma and Ywaya Tajiri are set to headline the Open Lanes Varsity Invitational finale at Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday, October 3.
The three artists will perform for fans at the athletics event, which is organised by On Running Kenya and brings together university athletes from across the country.
Bensoul is expected to bring his soulful sound to the stage, while Charisma will deliver his energetic performance. Ywaya Tajiri will also entertain fans with his popular hits.
The event will mark the final stage of the university athletics competition, which has featured teams from Kenyatta University, Catholic University of East Africa, Riara University, Strathmore University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and the University of Nairobi.
A total of 18 qualifying teams will compete in the final showdown, with the winning team set to earn a fully paid trip to South Africa for a race experience.
Organisers say the finale will combine athletics and live entertainment as the university athletes battle for the grand prize.
Entry to the event is free, with fans able to access tickets through the Open Lanes Varsity Invitational ticketing platform.
The event is part of On Running Kenya’s efforts to promote running and movement among young people while providing a platform for university athletes to compete at a national level.
