Popular pokot artist Nashon Aperetum alias Pokot Boy, was involved in a serious road accident at Namanjalala, Kitale-Kapenguria route, after his car reportedly hit a motorcycle rider. Witnesses say the vehicle lost control and veered into a ditch shortly after the collision. 

According to locals at the scene, tensions escalated when other bodaboda riders accused Pokot Boy of attempting to flee after the crash ‘hit and run’. The situation turned violent, with riders attacking him before others who recognized him stepped in to save him from further harm. He was later rushed to Cherangany Nursing Hospital in kitale Trans-Tzoia County, where he received treatment before released later currently receiving treatment as per prescription. 

Community members have expressed mixed reactions — some condemning the assault, while others argue that his attempt to leave the scene provoked the anger. Authorities are expected to investigate the incident further to establish the full circumstances surrounding the accident.
