National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has said that in the period during which four presidents have served in office, the country had never witnessed a slogan such as “Wantam” as it is being used today.
Speaking at Hewani village in Garsen Constituency, Wetang’ula said President William Ruto is implementing various development projects across the country, but accused some individuals of spreading what he described as divisive rhetoric and misinformation aimed at undermining national unity and development efforts.
Meanwhile, leaders from Tana River County, led by Senator Dr. Danson Mungatana, have reaffirmed their support for President William Ruto, saying they will continue backing his development agenda.
The leaders said their support is driven by the hope that communities in the Coast region that have historically been marginalised and lacked adequate development opportunities will benefit from government projects and programmes.
