President William Ruto is on Thursday, August 13, 2026, presiding over the 46th passing-out ceremony for newly trained security officers at Moi Barracks Senior School in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.

The event marks the completion of an extended 8-month basic military training for the recruits, who are now set to begin their service.

The ceremony has attracted senior government officials, security commanders, local leaders and family members who have gathered to witness the recruits’ graduation.

Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya and Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago are among the leaders attending the event.

The ceremony is also featuring military drills and other formal displays as the newly trained officers officially mark the end of their training.
